monclova (david alvarado) and soma records artist funk dvoid collaborate for the first time on this thumping dubbed out techno burner. the b side includes a never released track on vinyl format tataa that captures the style david alvarado is best known for!
reaching our 100th release seems surreal. i started it with 50 bucks and a defiant attitude to release music i felt wasnt repped elsewhere. the label has grown into a renegade family, and worldwide techno brand. proud of every single achievement and mistake we have made, we felt it fitting to gather a selection of our favorite artists and showcase our vision on the current state of classic modern techno. here s to another 10000. octopus for life.
college - old tapes celebrates ten years of composition from 2006 and 2016. most of these tracks are unreleased demo versions. to illustrate the music video of the track -auto pilot-, college team up with the director dan bell. this collaboration, born out of the same generational anchoring, reflects the strange dream of a paradise of the consumption which collapses silently.
as a first follow up to his acclaimed 2012 jr plankton release, plankton teamed up with robert defcon and produced an astounding collage of european and afroamerican sounds, vocals and rhythms, both psychedelic and bass heavy. licensed to groove, the 5 tracks on oh babe merge the sonically improbable highlighted by the artificial landscape of armin linkes cover photo and max da artwork. when krauts rausch (german for intoxication or noise) you know theyre onto a winner: the fresh new release opens with a sizzling drone ascending the throne of psychedelic sequencer rock. the title tune oh babe injects screwed, subtly lewd funk vocals into a slo-mo, yet ecstatic disco anthem, underscored by a pulsating filter funk bass, while bass n hippies and get up fuse deep progrock killer grooves with raunchy vocoder rap and funky turntable scratching, which will have you on your feet for sure. after a night out dancing, the final track, jealousy, evokes a scenery of solitary paranoia, both chilled out and chilling. defcon and plankton are connected by years of friendship and a dedication to minimalistic grooves and collage techniques in the tradition of stockhausen and can and the turntable and sampling culture of early hip hop.
christian gerlachís lanthan.audio features jeff derringer in its seventh installment, as well as two remixes from seasoned veterans shifted and giorgio gigli. the concept behind the label is the combination of music with architecture and photography, the consolidation of which creates a highly robust and powerful statement about music and art. this vision was born out of the desire to deliver a diverse product featuring innovative remixes from technoís most respected producers. jeff derringerís ëhuman moments in wwiiií is irresistibly fervent. both ëdepartureí and the epís title track are driving, acid-imbued, and deeply nostalgic of 90s electronic sensibilities. while shiftedís remix provides more hypnotic twists to an otherwise straightforward track, giorgio gigli lends the ep momentum and vigor, bringing the release to a robust and energetic close. human moments in wwiii adds dimension to an already dynamic and techno-forward discography, and derringer, shifted, and gigli are three amongst many compelling artists that the label has released since its inception last year.
nyc based & distant music label boss jon cutler returns to the studio with eric (eman) clark . this time around jon keeps the production deep dubby & minimal. while e-man who has gained a reputation for his spoken word poetry, commands the track with his signature voice, and delivery style. the statement goes out to all the dj s,producers and music bizz people on why we do what we do in this scene & why we can t live with out it!!! dede ceballos on the female vocals adds a nice answer & response to the track. instrumental mix included along with a nice stripped down version for those long power mixing blends !!!
coling strange lands on lies.. going to hit hard, this one..tip! collin strange has a long and storied history in the new york city underground music scene of the nineties. from owning a record shop in the east village, to working at distributers, to playing in bands of all sorts, to producing music alone, strange was around at one of the most vibrant (and transitional) times in the l.e.s., just on the cusp of guliani s culture crackdown which choked the life out of the city, forcing many to leave. currently located in seattle, strange has picked up where he left off years ago plugging in the gear and churning out blistering acid cuts with a very d.i.y. edge that brings to mind drop bass network, unit moebius, or free party french acid of old. coming full circle these tracks are completely at home on l.i.e.s. and will undoubtedly thrash any soundsystem in sight. play at maximum volume for total disruption

detroit techno pioneer kevin saunderson has revived his underground house moniker e-dancer with into the future, a rolling futuristic nod to the sound of detroit techno. swirling retro-future synths, echoed out claps and solid bass line that just screams detroit. the tracks gritty yet groovy sentiment is a perfect continuation of the very first e-dancer album heavenly, released in 1998
uk artist kris davis bleak ep is out on christian löfflers dance label, young alaska. löffler aims to make music that combines melancholy with euphoria, and it seems evident this vision is reflected in his own imprint with davis forthcoming release.

adam port and jimpster have had a special kind of virtual relationship the last few years with a mutual respect for each others productions and output of their respective labels. keinemusik, which adam runs alongside rampa, &me and reznik, has grown into one of the most consistent and hottest out there right now with every release creating a big splash and bringing magic to so many dancefloors around the world. adam recently remixed jimpsters eel pie island to devastating effect bringing his own deep, late night atmospherics to the original and creating one of 2016s underground hits in the process. so now were very pleased to welcome adam port (alongside legendary uk artists stereo mcs) for a full release on freerange in the form of changes. opening the release we have adams own remix which sets the tone with a subtle and gently building groove providing the perfect backdrop for the stereo mcs esoteric vocal. this lesson in restraint shows why adams productions work so well on big systems, letting all the focus shine firmly on the vocal creating an intense atmosphere with not a single huge breakdown in sight! next up we have the original of changes which takes a more electro approach with a simple bassline and crisp hats and once again allowing the vocal space to take centre stage for a deep and memorable track with a message. finally we have a remix from our own jimpster opts to push in a completely different direction. shuffling up the groove and laying down a repeating rhodes riff were treated to an altogether more soulful and less stark version making the perfect compliment to the the package. this one makes us think of his remix of osunlades mommas groove which is no bad thing we feel! enjoy!
3-disc deluxe anniversary edition of bad vibes! includes the original 2xlp plus additional 12 inch of new material (rarities + extras), bound together in a custom bad vibes o-card.
here it is, the 12th disc on hotline recordings, ringing off two wicked & wild dancefloor abstractions from none other than gantz.
tut-tut situation has been doing the rounds on dubplate for some time now, with the bandulu massive, commodo, etch and the likes giving this one big support from day one weve seen dancefloors bruk out like a bunch of confused nutters to this one its a certified soundsystem banger for wronguns.
on the flip, gantz comes with a new direction of style, dipping into the acid-drenched rave sound of the 90s with his own set of information. rugged, distorted rhythms grind up against an infectious melody and loved up vocals, once again, this is proper party gear for all twisted minds (and legs even).
elliott thomas, aka etbonz, portlands prodigal son, touches down for the first time on loveon the rocks with my kinda future. etbonz, the lovechild of buckaroo banzai and thetalented ellen ripley, utilises the latest krystalvision technology over this eleven and a half minute opus to bring you to the edge of a future where maybe, just maybe, arnold didnt kill the predator.. where some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favourite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if you paid your dues. where you cant even get to the chopper, because kurt russell is in the cockpit with a head full of acid, wearing a hat made of drum machines. should we check it out? or just check into a psycho ward? whichever comes first, huh? its a kinda future that leaves you asking yourself, if i am not me, then who the hell am i? am i prins thomas? what is a diskomiks? you ever fuck a mutant? tall guy, weird clothes. first you see him, then you dont. the best mindfuck ever!
bratha is the name of the berlin based collaboration of matt nowak aka no mad ronin and the analogue cops aka lucretio and marieu. their releases on their own label bratha, on voitax and on restoration have quickly sold out without any mainstream promotion. topless dancers is their debut e.p. on matt nowaks imprint zaijenroots. as usual, this vinyl only release recorded at the restoration headquarters and mastered at dubplates & mastering, combines refined samples and quotes with extremely solid, pumpin beats and fat basslines. the grooves move smoothly from the metronomic dance attitude with a romanian touch topless dancers of the title track, to the wobbling estate, undergoing to the suspended, melancholic fluctuations of space boogie and the slow discoidish no mad ronins death. this pumping ep for sure fills every dancefloor with a deep and smooth vibe of real underground dancemusic made in berlin.
continuing where subspace transmission 1 left off casionova brings another triple-tracker 12? of synth jams and dancefloor grooves ranging from the merciless bass-driven mecha-disco assault of droids night out to the epic, booming and deep bass box-jam magic touch and with the galloping, mystical and hypnotic necromancer s spell sandwiched in between - for those who like their electro-disco raw and relentless.
cabanne has joined the mini-spacecraft steered by young captain han kü-layz?traveling through unexplored parts of the galaxy they taste new beverage. helium sparkling basil, ginger and strawberry shake causes distorted voice at high speed and delay in understanding each other. fortunately space groove and breaks are full of delay and you can hear them all around. lets celebrate for the first time lowris and cabanne teaming up as king of delay aka k.o.d..
still riding high off the recent release of culoe de songs watergate mix we keep it coming with four exclusive tracks from culoe himself on our first ep of exclusives from the compilation. deadmans walk kicks things off with lush percussive grooves and luminous shades of euphoria resulting in a serene foray into enchanted destinations while the self titled aftermath follows with a much more deliberate intent utilizing rich, rising harmonies and bold, rugged drums culminating in a massive sonic event. flipping to the b-side we see culoe dive into an energetic and unique space with bang royales creating undeniably engaging rhythms with vocal chants and off kilter rhythms. rounding out the ep is juice and with its heavenly sounds of angelic vocals and soaring progressions is the perfect display of de songs signature sound and approach. were happy to present to you culoe de songs aftermath ep and think you will enjoy the trip into the mind of a truly unique artist.

the pathway traxx journey continues! following the storming success of the killer pt06 from dj w!ld we welcome a stomping, home grown, 4 track ep from the pathway label owner niko maxen. this ep has been over 3 years in the making, since the early days of pt01 when niko produced the original tracks for the label. it has been an intention to follow that release with a solo ep, and that time has now come. true to form, nikos ep delivers a hard dose of raw house, seductive vocals, slamming kick drums, and skippy hats.
2017 is set to be a big year for niko as he lines us several big releases and another 4 track vinyl ep all in the early half of the year. it seems now is the perfect time for this in-form artist to come out from the shadows and into the limelight.
after the phenomenal send100.1 check check feat. konrad cadet aka baby ford with remixes by mihai popoviciu and dub taylor, this is the long awaited vinyl follow up. the sender 100 saga continues with another superb vinyl release by benno blome.
the first track, moaning, has a linear feeling at the beginning: a layer of bass lines makes your feet move instantly until some subtle piano sounds come in at the perfect moment. it creates an atmospheric vibe and when the bass kicks in again, everything seems to fall into place. cosmjns interpretation is, as expected, more serious and it has a no-nonsense approach: stripped of the melodic piano sounds, a strong bass line takes over, which makes for an interesting contrast to the original track.
if moaning was a more gentle track, fr sa su is a little bit different: dance floor oriented, the rhythm is certainly higher and it has some intriguing background sounds that go hand in hand with the powerful bass that grows on you from the start of the track. the florian meffert remix closes this ep and it goes out on a strong note: it is a complex track with very different elements and sounds that complement each other just right to get things going.
with early support from: barac, mihigh, dubtil , cristi cons, petre inspirescu , sepp , crihan
repress! when three people run a label together it is exceptionally rare to find a positive unified opinion of a record on first listen. when isolée sent his -mangroove- ep to maeve, this was in fact what happened. but it is isolée after all.... mangroove came about last summer when the drifter happened to catch isolée s live set at a festival in switzerland. instantly blown away by the a side -pisco- he was determined to find out what it was and if it was to be released. after chatting, isolée suggested that he would send -pisco- along with a couple of other -demos- to maeve and a few days later the ep was happening. isolée has created some of the most important and beautiful records of our generation and has being a huge influence on what we do, thus we are incredibly excited and humbled to release his work. this three track ep shows several different sides of the frankfurt native, from the a-side dance floor catalyst that is -pisco- to the deeper dubbier b-sides of -l5 syndrome- and -mangrove-. this is the perfect record to mark our tenth release.
the newest release from unrilis packs a literal one-two punch with stay with me, a hard-hitting double feature with kaiserdisco and fabio neural bringing out their finest work for summer 2016. the combined efforts of frederic berger and patrick buck under the name kaiserdisco deliver no less than their best on this collaboration with a lifer if there ever was one: fabio neural, who brings a love he has held since the age of 13 to the collaborative efforts showcased here. having earned respect with appearances on record labels like drumcode, and gracing clubs like soundgarden and festivals across europe, one hopes this is far from the last listeners will get from this truly outstanding partnership.
we are very proud to welcome back one of our greatest artists and good friends scott monteith aka deadbeat. scott original comes from canada but now lives in berlin for some years. scott is mostly known for his own blkrtz label, but have been releasing on many other labels over the years. the track put on your red shoes and trance is a peak time bomb, dubby, deep, powerfull and melodic track. the b-side, just jackin around is techno bomb full of dubby chords and build-up-madness. 300 limited marbeld vinyls. when the coloured edition is sold out we only have black vinyl left.
junction records is back with junction002, packed with four to the floor techno tracks blending tech-house and house influences together. the a side starts with uk producer kiyo s desdemona , a powerful and hypnotic tune featuring kiyo s signature pounding kicks, huge moving pads, and detailed effects from the strung-out reverbs. metro follows with heavy tech-house flavour and subtle, atmospheric influences. filtered chords and spacious drones fill the breakdowns and pave the way for the infectious percussive melody.
next up from w&ll is a brand new premiering act, the talented khahn from lyon hits the plastic. it s an emotional, funky and deep yet pumpin and bouncing story. proper acidic vibes lurking around as well. tunes for the floor to put it simple. don t miss out this limited release from this new upcoming producer.
whether youre floating free to antipodean ambience or toasting the sunset with a baltic beauty, you can always count on growing bin to take you someplace new for a while. swapping bucolic poland for the buzz of the big apple, the hamburg imprint reaches a magnificent seven in the company of synth-pop dreamer shy layers (jd walsh to his mum) and his sublime self titled debut
g string brings something new to the broken dreams pot. stripped down, bare bones blackened machine music. decoration is removed, the ornate purged. in their place sit burnt out remains. chords are hollowed and scraped, rhythms smeared and smudged as loneliness is amplified. a stark and spartan statement of grey skies and dark eyes.
stunning 6 track va record with loads of funky and icey electro from the scandinavian parts of the mind. from listening to the dancefloor feel free to discover the teamwork glued together from sweden, iceland, finland, germany & france.
on let go & release yourself! ep, jamal moss and steve poindexter return with 3 tracks of straight bugged-out freakness and manic drum mechanics. the unbearable tension on the a side is a tweaked-out acid stomper, while the release and the title track back off slightly, but not much!
august 2016 saw running back release a first volume of live tracks from redshape, but january 2017 sees the much loved artist return to delsin, his most regard label, for a second offering of the same. this time the ep has one track made in paris, and one in london, and both are filled with the sort of beautifully bleak and lo-fi sounds that have made this man such a standout artist over the years. up first is london, a chugging track that builds in pressurised layers of coarse hi hats, gurgling bass and pinging kick drums. it is a hypnotic groove that teases you as elements drop in and out and hisses of static and broken little guitar riffs add some cheeky funk. on the flip-side, paris is much more playful, with colourful pixelated melodies dancing about the mix, industrial drums working down low and steppy synths fleshing things out. overall it sounds like a future disco for inebriated robots and is one of redshape s more party starting tracks.
presenting the new ssaliva release on ekster: we never happened. 180g vinyl packed in a pantone printed outer sleeve with drawing by charles-henry sommelette. comes with printed inner-sleeves and silk screened plastic oversleeve. i am a vessel. a muffled mass. a bulk. extent. a womb. i move. so i am neither here nor there. always somewhere in between. to give substance to this frame, i carve out a piece of me. sometimes a shape, sometimes a form. into this space i pour the siege of me: words, pictures, you. so we can become me. viscosity and temperature dictate the time it takes. when it is done, i break the mold i am. i take the cast inside and place it by the others. choose one and take it home.
arthur forests name should be more widely known in the world of dance music, the man lent his expert to touch to more than one classic record emanating from detroit during his time and has quietly left an indelible fingerprint on house and techno history. here at mint condition and for our third release we are extremely proud to present one of art forest s (in our opinion) finest moments - the majestic, futuristic expectations ep. released in 1992, this 4 track ep has always been sought after by detroit lovers worldwide. often very difficult to track down and commanding high prices on the second hand market, this 12- is a real rarity. showcasing a style that stands out from a lot of records released around the same period -expectations- still sounds so killer today. listen to -flow with me- on the b-side, an insanely deep, melancholic piece of detroit house, steeped in motor city futurism (those synth pads!) and with an otherworldly vocal performance from dan carter it ticks all the boxes, absolutely sublime and worth the admission fee here alone. stunning. if you re up to your neck in the history of detroit dance music, or if you ve literally just stumbled upon this entire world of amazing music (welcome!) you ll want a piece of this. beautifully crafted deepness from a quiet master of the artform, what s not to dig? mc003 has been reissued with the permission and involvement of arthur forest and remastered by london s very own curvepusher. 100% legit, licensed and released. dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your new favourite reissue label - mint condition!

on local talk s 74th release it s about time to get real...and we re not only talking about the music! this a heavy and political record that through music expresses the constant struggle for many african americans living in the us today. or like jamie 3:26 said after he first heard sameed s initial version - it instantly hit me with the raw pain and emotion of the lyrics. there is so much struggle in the world today, many black men and women are in emotional, mental and spiritual battles. the message is delivered over two tracks, testify and can t u . both tracks are using the same themes and samples but with a distinct difference on the end result. on the a side we find chicago legend jamie 3:26 teaming up with amsterdam s new shining star masalo (brighter days crew) for a gospel inspired disco / house jam that comes with a slight warehouse feel and a thumping bassline that is 100% on point on the flip sameed is back on local talk with can t u . a track that uses the same foundation as testify but instead goes straight for that dirty disco knock out punch...heavy stuff! as an extra bonus we also included dusty jazz , a fender rhodes driven jazz-house cut from sameed that sounds like it comes straight from a dark juke joint in manchester.
born out of a love for disco records and odd electronics, casino times is the project of producers joseph spencer and nicholas church - a musical partnership that is rooted in house and techno but often treads into the weird and wonderful. since first starting the project in 2010 spencer and church have steadily been crafting a back catalog that reflects their varied tastes and unique approach to electronic music. this has seen them release on a wealth of respected labels such as wolf music, futureboogie recordings & permanent vacation, just to name a few. the debut on omena, decoded ep , consists of four tracks highlighting a distinct development of their musical style. no need to dissect each and every track here to explain how it sounds, just play it and enjoy. everyone from your grandparents to your neighbour and best friend will ask for track ids.
previously spotted on emotional especial with the fantastic love is enough 12inch, plus instruments get the remix treatment in a classic 80s style with the dub is enough single. the producers tasked with delivering versions vary wildly, but they make for a strong combination. jamie paton s -cloudy dub-out- is masterful, simmering the elements down to a sensual bassline and delicate ripples on top, while luke solomon brings his bumpy, off-kilter house style to the table. khidja has a more dramatic, synth laden approach and alphonse creates a dusty, funky roller out of that killer bassline groove.
ike is no stranger to finale sessions at all with his release under the guise innerspace halflife with fellow producer hakim murphy, this time he flies solo under his real name ike release and we are proud to have him on board with this 10 inch release. so let s get to the music with the first cut called tangerines m it takes you for a ride with its rawness and it s thick pads and morphing keys and its wicked bassline. then we have track two called tungstun m we have another floor stomper with this one with its filtered pads and in and out synths just drooling with rawness. this i will say this is a perfect fit for finale select series
